Terracotta Line
Terracotta Line (officially named "mrunix 20k expansion spur") is a railway is free for public use that runs north/south to support the lucrative terracotta, copper, and gold mining industries. It was generously constructed by mrunix. The southern terminus begins at a platform at -20082, 21, which connects via short feeder to a station on Purple Line of the New Eden Train Network at -20101, 84. This platform also provides a connection to the nearby Isla Glitch. The northern terminus is at -20573, -4619. Along the way there are stops at some villages, such as the mrunix 20k frontier outpost, Rancho mrunix, the northern Badlands and Canyonlands.
Presently the line consists mainly of a single bi-directional track. Some construction began on dual tracks near the southern-most portion, but funding and resources dried up until studies can be done on the utilization of the line. Train stations are still being constructed, so some re-placing of minecarts may have to happen on the line where powered rail sections in stations have not been installed. The line temporarily bisects near Rancho mrunix until a tasteful terracotta station can be sited, designed, and built to tie everything together.
History
Prior to the construction of the line, it was an arduous overland trip to the northern Badlands that depended on the sea to be frozen to winter in order to traverse the numerous bodies of water along the way. The spur was created to help spur tourism, mining of resources, and exploration of the newly discovered lush caves.
