client: Reduce max-tries or retry-delay/timeout options if necessary to avoid getting terminated by the MacFUSE option daemon_timeout.

The retry options for MacOSX Leopard or higher were reduced to a maximum of 3 tries and 15 seconds delay/timeout by default.
