Saralas: Session 16

- We start just outside the cave debating what to do
- After a while we decide we need to take care of this, and head back to the cave.
- Serana is the hag. She wants us to bring her the body of a girl child. Karthos tells us that that is how sea hags reproduce
- Because she brought a frost giant skeleton to bear we talked for a while and made a retreat.
- Korag started acting holier than thou "what changed guys? what changed". We went from one sea hag to a sea hag and a frost giant skeleton. A frost giant skeleton could one shot us. That's what changed, jackass.
- On the way back to town we come across the sacrifices from yesterday. The girl child is covered in frost but still alive. Resda decides she wants to cut her down and save her.
- She wrestles with a sudden urge to stab Min and tells us she thinks the bindings are cursed.
- She frees the girl and they put the empty furs back on the stake. We wrap her in blankets and Karthos casts lesser restoration.
- Resda, Korag, and I head into town to find the captain of the guard to return the bones and tell what happened.
- She seems skeptical, but accepts Resda's story, and offers us a gray bag of tricks or a scroll of fireball.
- We decide to get rooms in town. Korag insists on trying to find the parents. I'm less excited by this whole turn of events.
- As much as Saralas hates this, and he hates it, he also feels that getting into this is a terrible idea. Mostly because we're already on a list and getting on more lists will hurt us.
- Korag finds someone who tells him the girl's name was Racella, and she was a dear friend to his son. Korag says he wants to offer words of consolation to the parents. But be careful of the father, he has a short temper.
- Korag and Resda meet with the parents and think that they might not be true followers and talk about how to return the kid. I suggest staging a miracle, but staying out of it directly.
- The others argue for a while.
- Rudra is awakened in the night by a frozen queen. Auril?
