Saralas: Session 34
- We start in a room in an inn with a stranger, having conquered the cube. We're in Easthaven, it's around midday.
- The stranger is a white snow-leopard tabaxi, with a shocked look on her face, named Pearl
- She is looking for Min, they worked closely together. Pearl was coming up to start a new business endeavor with her up here.
- It's the 8th, we've been in the cube for 2 days
- She is sad to hear Min is gone and wants Bun. She says she helps people aquire things
- Apparently she was following us, found the cube, heard the hag, and booked it back to Easthaven
- When we appeared we appeared in unoccupied space in a flash of light.
- But where did the cube come from? Korag suggests the cube may have been found by the Sea Hag and used as a problem solving device.
- We would need to find an expert in Netherese artifacts to figure out how to manage or destroy the cube. We know we need to be careful with it given the power we've seen from other objects made of black ice.
- Wodna is at the door. She seems to know Pearl. Wodna and Pear pretend they are meeting for the first time. She claims she is looking for a gnomish tinkerer, Edwin?
- She offers 4000 gold for the cube, and says she knows a collector in waterdeep who collects these sorts of items. We take the money and divide it 4 ways.
- Pearl also leaves, it's just Resda, Rudra, Korag, and me.
- Korag buys a few potions, then mentions looking for +1 weapons. The potion shop lady, Alisa, points us to the weapons shop and says to ask for Ridolfo at the weapon shop and ask to see the special collection.
- We go to the weapons shop and ask for Ridolfo, and a small elderly halfling comes out and asks how he can help us today. Korag buys a magical shield.
- I ask about bows but he only has ordinary bows. I ask about swords, shortswords. +1 to hit, 200 gold.
- Bar rumor: people recently found wandering mindless and mad, outside of the cave of hunger
- Korag overhears a rumor about a hill where the frost giants who used to rule this land would meet, and their throne still rests on that hill
- As we're drinking in the bar Wodna comes over and asks us about our status of dealing with the Cultists, particularly getting the spell book for her. She considers the Duergar less of an immediate threat than the cultists, because the cultists are dealing with a god while the Duergar are just trying to destroy things.
- She is pretty sure the Duergar that ran was Sunblight's son.
- We debate for a while and decide to sea hag it. We rest and it's the morning of the 9th. But we need to talk to Wodna before we leave, because she is set to bring Duergar to attack the cultists.
- She suggests sending them in on the 12th.
