Avarice

Avarice (Deceased)

An albino Tiefling. Also a Red Wizard of Thay. She is certainly evil, given this vocation.

We met Avarice in Caer-Dineval, which had been taken over by cultists who worship the arch devil Levistus. Their goal was to break into the fallen city of Ythryn and use the power of the Mythallar there to free Levistus (Saralas: Session 47).

Wodna hired us to steal her spellbook, but when we got to the Caer and planned to try to sneak into her room, she just walked up to us and made it clear she knew everything already. At that point it wasn't safe to try (Sarlas: Session 35).

Later seen as a low-key threat we would need to deal with but kept putting off.

We were eventually recruited by Wodna to help steal the Mythallar which would prevent them from using it to achieve this goal. When we entered Ythryn and started searching for a way to access it Avarice and her cultists followed us through the Caves of Hunger into Ythryn (Saralas: Session 69).

Eventually killed by the Lich Iriolarthas, convinced by Resda that Avarice and her cultists were trying to steal the Mythallar (Saralas: Session 77). We looted her spellbook though by that time Wodna already had a book she could use (Saralas: Session 78).
