The rough concept is that because goliaths have a lawful neutral bent, the church of helm seemed like a good fit for reasons after his exile over the game of goat ball. Church of Helm also has strong "clan" kinship vibes so Korag joined up there. He inherently likes protecting folks you see and that's more or less Helm's mission. So because of the exile he took the new last name "Frosthelm" since he's part of the Helm clan and was from the frozen north. So after a time with the church of Helm the church is looking to send someone out to Icewind Dale to investigate and not many wanted to volunteer into the cold. But being a goliath, and from that area, Korag didn't mind so volunteered (or was voluntold) and sent on his way to look into it. He's sort of hoping that maybe his exile isn't permanent, even though he knows it kind of has to be so he's not holding out hope on that. But he still has yearnings for the old home as one do. Then, somewhere along the way to Icewind Dale he meets up with the others somehow in whatever amounts at a time. | |||
