== 5 Elesias, late morning ==
* We're still in the maze
* We find Imdra and tell the stories of the Duergar and also of the Cultists
* Start in 23
* She says we must speak to the speaker. We go to the meet the speaker, a Human named Danneth Wayland. The speaker asks the guard if she has shown us yet. Shown us what?
* We go to 30, there is a coffin-sized hole big enough to hold one person
* They escort us through the front of the building into another large room. Lanterns cast a gentle glow on top of a large black object. It is actually the figurehead of a ship, carved in the likeness of a winged demon. It is about 8 feet tall.
* Min lays in it and says "press the button"
* We see a scrawny woman, dripping wet, with long white hair obscuring her face. The speaker and Imdra do not react to her, can only we see her? She matches the description of the white lady. But the white lady is dead.
* The doors disappear, Min is unaffected.
* The entire figurehead is made of black ice. The speaker wants to know if it matches what the Duergar were trying to steal. Karthos confirms that yes, this is what they are after and this is a lot of it.
* When we try to open door 36 it won't open and the ceiling starts to drop
* He explains that black ice is known to the speakers, and they certainly rue finding it. They brought it to the town hall for lack of anything better to do with it. They promise to increase their guard on the statue. They also worry about the cultists, because if they are harboring a red wizard this would be a target for them as well.
* The button still makes the doors disappear but the ceiling keeps dropping. Nothing we try works, the ceiling is still falling. When we're laying flat and the ceiling is inches away it stops and retreats.
* We leave and travel back to the cave of the sea hag. As we move north the weather improves slightly though not dramatically
* Korag tries to sit in the hole by himself but nothing new happens. He tries every door in sequence. No change.
* As we approach the doorway we see laying on the ground a small black cube about 6 inches across. It appears to be black ice. There is writing on the side of the cube but it is not written in any language I know. But Min can read it if she touches it. She touches it to read it and we are all transported.
* After a while of talking this over we feel a significant rumble/scraping. Korag is pretty sure something has changed in the configuration of the rooms, but we're not sure what.
* She read as much as "to see in is out" before this happened.
* In room 21, Korag feels a divine presence. He tries Room 30 but nothing is different but he feels a sense of loss having left 21.
* We are located in a strange room that is 90 feet to a side. The room is a perfect square, long and low. There are doorways on the walls, floor, and ceiling. By each door is a number written in a glowing blue aura. There is also an obvious button on each wall.
* Back in 21 we press the button and find a new set of dark purple numbers. We go into 12
* W: 22, N: 2, S: 9, E: 40, C: 33, F: 38
* Min sits in the chair. When she does she turns passive, the chair turns to ash, a dagger and some gold fall down. Min disappears and a chair is in its place.
* Behind the doors we see similar rooms. Only one door can be open at a time, as soon as a second door is opened the first closes. Some propose to push a button. Korag votes the floor button and Min presses it. The door that was open closes, then all the doors vanish. Min presses it again and the room returns to how it was.
* Rudra sits in the chair despite my protests. Min's belongings fall out and she is dead.
* Min pushes the North button and all the doors disappear.
* This is a fiendish and devious magical trap. Sitting in the chair activates the trap. The person who sits in the chair becomes the chair, and the person who was previously the chair is killed. It may be safe to handle but this is uncertain.
* Rudra jumps into the room below: N:2, S: 9: E 40, W: 22, C: 10: F: 23
* She goes through the North door: E: 38
* In the meantime we follow Korag into the east room (40). N: 2 S: 9 W: 33 E: 38 U: 10 D: 23
* Rudra somehow shows up from the west but she says she didn't go back up at all. These doors appear to portal to other places.
* We go through 33, and a button press makes it red. 7N, 29S, 36W, 21E, 17U, 8D
* We go down and are attacked by a bat swarm, they fly around us then fly back up to the ceiling where they have been roosting. 8red: N7 S29 W36 E21 U33 D30.
* Numbers disappear on North button. Rudra suggests going north
* We go into room 7. Doors and red numbers: N30 S:33 W:36 E:21 U17: D8
* We go back to 8, and we see the bats again
* We go into 21. The number are red N7 S29 W33 E30 U17 D8
* In room 2 we hear a hum. Button press makes doors disappear and the hum grows louder and louder
